About WTP
We The Pixies (WTP for short) is a rewrite of Disney's Pixie Hollow online multiplayer game that ran from 2008 to 2013. WTP is not affiliated with Disney.
WTP has been in the works since 2018.
If you're in our Discord server, watch the #game-news channel for updates as soon as they happen! To get pings right away, go to the #bot-shenanigans channel and use the command `!iam-game-updates`. We know it’s hard to wait for new game features, but please try not to nag the staff about updates. We’ll let you know when we release new features.
Unfortunately, there's no definite answer. While our team is passionate about WTP, it’s a volunteer project, meaning that staff members have to find time in their busy schedules to work on it. The game essentially has to be rebuilt from scratch, which means that things can take a while to get finished. Please be patient. We’re working our wings off to make WTP the best it can be.
Nope! All of WTP will be free for everyone.
No. WTP is in no way affiliated with Disney so, unfortunately, we cannot transfer old fairy accounts over from Disney’s game.
No. WTP has no plans to merge with any other Pixie-Hollow-related projects.
WTP’s number one priority is to bring the original game back to life. However, we are hoping to incorporate more original content (in accordance with Pixie Hollow’s aesthetic) sometime in the far future.
No, WTP will not be accepting any donations. The game will be 100% funded by staff.
Current Game Features
Accounts aren't an option right now - to enjoy the demo, you'll have to create a new fairy every time. You can, however, save your Create-a-Fairy fairy with the C-A-F Codes in-game.
At the moment, players can explore three meadows: Dewdrop Vale, Palm Tree Cove, and Neverberry Thicket. Other classic meadows are being developed.
Only Bubble Bounce and Butterfly Painter are available for now; it's located in the bottom left corner of Dewdrop Vale. More talent games are on the way!
Yes - Brook's Basics clothing store in Dewdrop Vale and Schelly's Shears hair salon in Palm Tree Cove are currently open for business! More items and shops are in development.
Adding fairy friends isn’t available right now, although we’re working on it!
We’re working with fairly simple profiles right now - over time, we’ll add more features. Right now, you can use profiles to report and whisper to individual users.
Like everything else in the demo, our chat system is under constant development. At the moment, all chat messages are filtered to block out profanity while still allowing other words to come through (if you use one of the words on this list, it’ll get blocked while you’re writing it). In the future, we’re hoping to replace the filter with a whitelist of allowable words, including meadow names, fairy name combinations, and much more. Players will still be able to write their own messages, but they’ll be checked against the whitelist to ensure that the messages is appropriate. This whitelist will help block bad language even further to ensure that We The Pixies is safe for all ages.
Ways to Help
WTP is always in search of artists and developers! If you've got any experience in those fields, fly over to the Join the Team page for the application forms.
Those are currently the only permanent staff positions available. However, everyone can help the staff by reporting bugs in the demo!
To report a bug, you can fly over to the Bug Report tab. Please be sure to include a clear and detailed description of the bug, exact steps to reproduce the bug, and screenshots (if possible).
Together, our artists and developers work to rebuild the game from the ground up. Individually, they do a lot, but here are the basics:
- Artists restore art, as well as create animations and spritesheets.
- Developers are responsible for game development and/or web design.
Responses to application forms generally go out within the week, either via email or Discord. However, if you have any questions about your application, feel free to message any of the staff via the Discord server as outlined in the #welcome-information channel.
Feel free to direct them to this info page.
If you have any more questions or suggestions for the FAQ, please feel free to contact any of the WTP Staff!
About the Discord
Unlike the other applications, moderator applications aren’t open all the time. When they are, staff will let everyone know! Watch the general channel for announcements about moderator positions. Until then, be respectful and help others when you can.
Only one talent role is permitted per Discord user, so choose wisely!
The Hype Squad is a group of players that work with the WTP Staff in order to advertise the game and staff applications. Although anyone can help advertise, members of the Hype Squad are hand-picked by staff.
